I loved this set I am a big space fan and buy far the Apollo program now the next one I hope to see is the space shuttle

Huge Lego fan and huge space fan. I haven't gotten a real Lego set in years but the instant I saw this on the back of my brothers Lego Magazine I knew I had to have it. Sold out everywhere I had to go the Lego store on the shipment day and finished it that same day. Cool box, instructions and lots and lots of bags.
Only had to backtrack when building once but it definitely keeps you on your feet, you must watch for where different exterior pieces go in relation to the symmetrical interior. Structure inside is very clever and included are lots of rare parts and various colors. All printed pieces no stickers, saved much headache.
The size is just incredible. I have the previous Lego rocket that has the umbilical tower and crawler but this one dwarfs that in size, detail and weight.
Even though the sections can split it remains very solid, very hard to break off parts except the top of the tower, it could probably tip over and be fine.
The accessories are nice as well, you can switch out the white command module with the gray stickered one if you wish and the lunar module also folds up and fits in the top, 4 mini minifigures are included but the last one is probably an extra piece.
One of my favorite accents are the rocket cones, especially the bottom ones. Lots of detail loyal to the real thing. All the proportions, lettering and accessories are to scale which is very pleasing to me. I would snatch this set up as fast as you can. I've probably collected several hundred Lego sets over the years and who knows how many parts and this one might just be the best yet.

Absolutely Fantastic Set

One of my top 2 favorite kits of all time. Hands-down the best value for money of the larger kits.
I am writing this review well after building it and I am surprised to see that it costs $120. It is worth SO much more. Best value for sure.
Massive scale, AMAZING detail, and it is interactive once it is complete. being able to take the capsule off and each of the tiers down is really cool. The lander, ocean rescue, and even the included stands are all great little details for it.

I’ve been a fan of LEGO and nasa for quite some time and was looking for a good model/toy to add to my collection. So when I heard about this I thought it was the perfect opportunity so I saved up and soon added it to my collection and now proudly sits on my wall

Wonderful set! Great value for the number of pieces. It was a challenging but truly enjoyable build. Details are amazing. Looks great as a display model. Represents the finest achievements of the Apollo program and gives a sense of the massive scale and undertaking that went in our quest to put a man on the moon.

An excellent kit. Awe at each and every part build.
Outstanding manual and unique packaging.
12 bags of parts for each assembly.
amazing color coding of left/right oriented parts, difficult to do it wrong, errors on build are revealed in/on next step(s) thanks to colored parts in manual. internal structure and section connection fantastic .

Best LEGO set for display on a budget

This set is massive and ever since I saw it I feel in love.
When you walk in to my room it brings everyone to ask wow what is it, a lot of people don’t think it’s lego it has no studs! And has great looks and it super strong I have dropped it once or twice from moving it and I hade 5 to 6 parts break off and it was a easy fix. This set is my favorite of all times! You should get it it’s awesome!
