Lots of detail and bang for your buck!

Right, I have to come clean, this was one of those, "I've got to have one" impulse purchases. I was in store buying something else, so had to come back a week later to get this and glad I did as there were only two left and it had disappeared from the window display. The set comes in lots of build stages which I like and seemed to come together quickly. There's lots on interesting internal detail which is mostly hidden when the rocket is in one piece, but I suppose really adds to the play experience once complete. There seemed to be lots of bricks for the money compared to other sets and all special prints were actually prints, no pesky stickers!!!! The model is huge and some of the thinking behind the design is very clever. I loved the lunar lander scene with the diddy astronauts and the splash down scene too. Overall this is very satisfying build, couple of tricky stages, so need to build it in good light. Now, I just have to hide it for a bit and sneek it out on display once I've dealt with my guilt. LOVE IT!

This is an awesome model. Super detailed, with some very clever hinges and joins. The component rocket stages all come together very nicely and that really helped the 'teaching moments' with my kids!
One deliberate (?) error though - it comes with 4 space suited astronauts. The mission only had 3 people onboard, and only 2 landed. Still, it's always handy to have some spare astronauts...

Saturn V kit

I bought this kit for myself. My wife does puzzles, I like to put together lego sets. This set is very enjoyable to put together. It was so fun for me, I did it once and then took it all apart and put it back together again. The instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. I usually take an hour or two in the evenings to put my sets together and usually go pretty slowly, that's why I don't put the time it takes me. Highly recommend the set.

The set was really cool and fun to build, but you when you play with it the tip keeps on falling off. So other than that it's one of my favorite sets.

I really enjoyed this build. I've built it twice just because it's kinda interesting how it all goes together. "We gotta find a way to make this, fit in the hole for this, using nothing but that"...if you don't get it watch Apollo 13
