Fantastic set, have been looking forward to this for a long time. Really good build, the way everything went together to make such a sturdy model. Excellent stuff. Looks so good next to my space shuttle

The details are exceptional. Even the brick count matches the year. It's a satisfying build and displays great with other objects if you like to collect.

Best Lego Product I've Bought

Totally worth the money. The detail in this set is amazing and it even has the different stages of the rocket. The building diagrams were sometimes hard to completely understand which is was annoying but manageable. My girlfriend and I built it togther and it looks great when it's finished. Best Lego set I've ever owned, do yourself a favor and buy this!

The Saturn V

I really enjoyed this set, a lot of effort and detail was put into the product. I only had one issue with this set, that being top of the shuttle was not very sturdy when taken off of the stage 3 fuel capsule.

I have done about 6 architectural ones and the Millennium Falcon in the past 2years. This one was done a little each day, still went too fast. 2 minor complaints. The new plastic does not seem to stick together quite as well. I used 2 rubber bands on the first stage during assembly, otherwise the long strips from the fin locators up would pop off. The other is the stands should be larger or doubled in amount. The first stage is much too heavy to balance on one stand. I may buy stand parts to make them stable. Otherwise, well done Lego.

It’s very good to hear that you’re overall pleased with your new LEGO® set. We have been using the same materials since the 60’s, the plastic bricks have not changed. This set has an age range set for 16 plus. Which means it's supposed to be a challenging set. There are challenging building techniques that need to be used in order to complete the set. We always recommend that you push each part flush with one another before moving onto the next step, to ensure stability.
Check out our ‘Bricks & Pieces’ service if you’d like to build a custom stand, but ours should hold your ship with no issue. I would also recommend to space the stands out so that the ship sits well on them. Make sure the two legs aren’t too close together!

Great challenge and Fun to build!

It took six hours to build the Saturn V but after building it it felt nice to know it was completed. I built a stand for it to make the rocket to look like the rocket was going through its stages. I got this idea from a picture on the webs which it looks really cool on my desk. The design was well executed except for when the lander and the comand pod meet this could have been better portrayed through the design but overall it was great fun to put together and looked cool afterwards.

Mr. Grognards Saturn V Grumblings...

- Overall, an impressive kit. Sturdy construction, fairly accurate details, unexpectedly large display piece. - While building, some of the interior sub assemblies seemed odd, but made sense within a few steps. - On the lower sections, it's as if you're building a twin-hulled design, with two "satellites" inside, but they're for connecting the exterior panels later. - There were a couple of instances where it would have been nice to see the build "x2" or "x4" at the beginning of the panel construction, instead of seeing them after completing the first one, and flipping a few pages back to build the rest. If there's four to build, I like to build them as if on an assembly line...it's quicker and easier. - One major point of weakness and design oversight, are the covers for connecting the service module to the next stage. There has to be a space for the two covers to come together, instead of making them clamshell like the real one did with attached, pivoting pieces, which also requires an unsightly gap between the thruster and the service module hull. - Aside from tearing the whole thing apart and counting as it's rebuilt, does the "1969" piece count number pertain to the all the parts actually on the completed model, or does it include the 24pcs left over? Why put extra pieces in kits to begin with? Were they added to reach the "1969" piece "historically cool factor" number? - Okay, okay, I'll quit grumbling now. It's a cool kit. Glad I bought two...one to build, and one to keep "Mint in sealed box" for collectability.
