Great fun

It was given to me as a birthday present. I was very surprised and excited to build it since im a huge space fan. Building it was great fun. Well described instructions. No troubles in building the rocket. Loved it!

Loved building this master piece

I got this piece on the same day it came out. I totally loved building it. It was quite challenging because of the cylinder shape of the model but over all it was an amazing experience and now i just enjoy looking at it next to my Lego Wall-E and my Lego Big Ben.

3rd Stage was Poorly Built.

Overall, This is a great set. It doesn't have that much playability though, and the third stage was awful. It hardly connects and often falls off. Also, in the instructions, they didn't show you how to build a section on the side. Believe me, I went back and checked several times, but there were only instructions for 3 of the sections. In the end I just built it like the rest of them. The rocket was also almost disappointingly easy to build too.
Other then that, it's great, and the 4 printed microfigures were super cool. This was my first Ideas set, and if the others are anything like this, I will probably be purchasing more in the future.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there! Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you've having some rouble getting the third stage to stay put. That definitely doesn't sound right. I suspect something might be a little off in your build; if a piece isn't quite in the right spot, it would make that section not click in as securely as it's supposed to. A little rebuilding should definitely help. I'd recommend paying extra attention to the sections in pages 112 to 114 and 148 to 150. Make sure every piece is in the exact position shown and that they're all pressed together tightly. You should have much better results!

THIS WAS THE BEST SET I HAVE DONE. HAD A GREAT TIME. SO MUCH FUN WHEN IT SNAPS TOGETHER GOOD JOB LEGO. I WOULD SAY THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT YOU DID NOT CHARGE ENOUGH.

I really love the Lego space themed models and I have been anticipating this one for years! I ordered it the day it went on sale and was disappointed when it immediately went back-order, however I then received notice that it shipped. I guess I was one of the fortunate that got my order in!
Great model, now I hope this opens the door for others like a detailed Lunar Module and Command Module!

A super Lego set,there are levels of desire when thinking about a purchase,this is a "where is my credit card?".
Somewhat challenging at times,an incredible amount of
work has clearly gone into this,the interior of the model
is amazing.When I was building this,I thought of the
"ancient aliens" tv show,the explanations being that this
is too difficult for humans to do on their own.Well worth
the money.My pictures are the Lego kit and my scale flying model,the Lego kit was a much easier build....

I am a regular lego buyer of big sets...But this one really disappointed me to the maximum.
Not strong enough and non symmetric enough to keep the Saturn stable..The bricks don't match perfectly as it is always the norm with Lego. lots of collapses than retry again and again due to its instability.

From what you've described, it sounds like something was a little off in your build. If even one key part is one stud away from where it should be, it can throw things off later in the build and cause the kind of issues you've experienced.
The best thing to do is rebuild the set, being extra careful to ensure that every piece is in the exact spot shown and that all the parts are pressed tightly together. Once rebuilt, your rocket will have much better results.
