Beautiful Model

The set comes with detailed instructions that are easy to follow. It is beautiful (as described) with incredible detail. It did not take as long as I thought since I was rushing to finish it but overall, it is worthwhile.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Exciting Model

When I first saw that this model was coming out it brought back fond memories of growing up watching the Apollo missions on TV. I will never forget watching the first moon landing. This model did not disappoint. The detail that is in this model is great. I got very lucky and was able to find one in a Lego Store near my house. I will display this model in a glass case and may get a second one so I can show one as the full rocket and the other one in stages.

When I found out this was coming out was very interested in the set. Therefore I purchased it and am very satisfied with the product. Very nice build, very detailed in the decals. Is a very nice display item if you like history, or the Apollo mission itself. Very awesome that the piece count is 1969.

Amazing build

This kit is an amazing build. It is massive and has only a few pitfalls.
If you, like I am, are not an experienced builder of large Lego kits, build the second stage first. The second stage is smaller and has fewer potential pitfalls. It will teach you the language of the build and quickly show you how things work.
I built the first stage and had a couple problems. The internal structure has a weak spot when the two tanks are connected by only one 4 post brick. Keep it vertical and make sure if you drop it, as I did, that you rebuild exactly as the instructions say. (Check out the video on Tested.com to see Norm have the exact same problem.) I ended up having to rebuild the first stage after realizing I missed one key brick at the cost of about an hour. I did find that a couple pieces of the first stage needed some modification to fit properly, those are the screen-like parts where I needed to move parts to click into the little catches in the center of the stage.
It's a beautiful kit. If you can find it and love 1960's spaceflight, get it.
