A must have!

Great in every way. A construction module charged with History, and for LEGO building purpose as is. It's great to explain to the kids all the steps to reach the Moon, since the Saturn V can be separated in modules, and it's possible to put together the Lunar Module, Command module and Service Module. The Lunar Module being able to fit inside the rocket is a nice touch. I'm more a Lego Technic builder, but this System set it's the best and fun to build so far. There's 2 details worth to mention: no stickers since the tiles are all printed, and the number of pieces being coincident with the year of Saturn V launch, 1969.
If I had to choose only 1LEGO system set to have, this was probably it. (sorry Millennium Falcon.. You're to expensive!)

Definitely one of the best sets

This is definitely one of the best sets Lego has done by far. I would rate it as the best. Not only is it a very satisfying build, the set looks absolutely stunning. Considering the shape of the Saturn V does not lend itself to a highly detailed model easily, it makes this set even better.
The 1969 parts count is also a nice touch and fitting way to mark the Apollo 11 landing.
As a child I remember getting the Discovery themed Apollo set and wishing Lego would one day do some more detailed Apollo sets. The wait was definitely worth it for this set.
Would highly recommend to any Lego fan. It looks amazing, has a good mix of parts and construction techniques as well so should appeal to most Lego fans as well as space enthusiasts.
We'll done to the fan & Lego designers on this set.

You don't need to be a NASA scientist to figure out why you need to buy this. Great piece count, price point, and most importantly, looks amazing after it's built. I thought it was going to take a while building this set because of the piece count but many of the components were built in multiples which made it little tedious but rather easy and quick to complete. Also I was pleasantly surprised that Lego finally gotten rid of stickers and had the letters and decals printed right on the pieces themselves! Thanks for listening Lego!
I was looking for this set everywhere and every place I visited was sold out. I was really lucky one day when I happened to walk into a Lego store when they just received a shipment. For all the collectors, it's definitely a great set to keep but it is a shame to have it sit inside the box.
All in all, a must have and well worth the money. Now stop reading the reviews and go buy one!

Best Build Yet

I really enjoyed building the Lego Ferris Wheel, but really really enjoyed building the Lego NASA Apollo Saturn V Rocket. I would recommend building this Lego Set if you can only choose one. This set is amazing and fun to build. I only have a few negatives about this set. One being I think the stands to hold the Saturn V Rocket in the horizontal position is a little flimsy. On two the build went to quickly, but I really don't consider it too much of a negative. It was a challenging build, but not to difficult where you want to throw in the towel.

A Marvel of Engineering and Design

I've loved the Saturn V for most of my life. I am a Space Geek and love all things 60's space program. I just MOCed a Mercury Redstone 3 (Freedom 7) rocket which, with basic pieces and a paint job, perfectly scales to 1:110. It gives me great joy to have these two rockets side by side. I love this set. It was a joy to build, and it will be displayed next to my MOC Freedom 7 and 10213 Shuttle Adventure for many, many years.

This should become a series to include a Saturn 1B and Skylab

This is the best set we've ever owned! My 9 yr old son and I built this over 3 days. My son wanted to show his class before the end of the school year. He could not put it down or walk away from it. The set is massive, but the build goes fast and is repetitive. Each stage can easily be separated, however there are a lot of little parts that like to come off. But it is definitely impressive when put together.
