My 11 year old son loved this set. He had his eye on it since it came out. So glad it was available for his birthday. He said it was really fun to build, looks like the real thing & it's big.

This is a fantastic set. It is a lot of fun to build. There were a few steps where it was a little challenging to keep everything lined up properly but the end result is a very solid design. i was pleasantly surprised by how solid the final assembly is. Truly a great Lego rendition of an iconic piece of history!

My five year old son and I built this over the course of a few weekends and I have to say it's one of the best Lego builds ever. The size of the finished product has to be seen to be beleived as photos don't do it justice. After every stage I thought, "Wow, this is going to be big", but even after it was complete, I was still startled by its size.
About 70% of the build was simple enough for my five year old to do (especially the outer surfaces), though I was on hand for some of the trickier bits. Some of the internals were more challenging and utilised some interesting techniques leading me on more than one occasion to admiringly say "Now that's clever!". :-)
A nice mix of techniques meant that we both got a lot out of our joint build. Definately recommended!

A Brick in the best way

I bought this set as I thought it would be great to own and display as the Apollo missions are still one of the most impressive feats this country has ever undertaken. It took about 4 hours to build and had plenty of new building methods that I had yet to encounter, some are very fragile during the build but will always end by being locked in place one way or another.
The most impressive thing about this set is that it has to be the most solid set I have ever held, you don't worry about breaking it by moving it as is with most very large builds. I am positive this will also be the next highly collectible Idea's set as they are already hard to get.

This is my second Lego, I have to say it is much better than my first, Silent Mary ship. I was in the exam period when I receive it, I just did not expect it would come so fast. But, I just can't help myself. I spent like 8 hours to finish it in the night, once! What can I say? I can't stop, one part done, I imaged how would it like on the whole rocket, and I do it...... really really nice build!!

I have been a Lego builder since 1982. This has been the best Lego build I can remember. The authentic look of the model is outstanding. Best value for the money Lego has ever had!!

Very easy to build, given the intricacy of the internal support structure. Surprisingly sturdy for such a tall model and the fact that it is a cylinder. Very impressed with the detail put into this model. Also love that all the lettering is on the pieces themselves and not stickers. Looking forward to the possiblility of having the launchpad made and sold as well!
