1969 pieces !!!! Fantastic detail

Wow, very iconic, from the 60's, Saturn Atlas 5 rocket. Great detail and excellent build.
Was it a coincidence that there are 1969 pieces, and Man landed on the moon in 1969? hmmmm, anyone else notice that?
I can not recommend this lego set highly enough, it is fantastic. Even though it is recommended at ages 14+, I'm sure younger could make this model.
This is a very well designed set of lego.
Worth waiting 4 months for Lego to get this back in stock, before I could purchase.

Excellent Build of a Beautiful Rocket

This was my first major Lego purchase in probably 20 years, since I was a kid. And I had a blast with it. I'm a space nerd, and this set has reignited (haha) my childhood love of Lego.
The finished model is absolutely beautiful and feels very authentic to the actual Saturn V rockets. As the images show, it separates into three booster sections, and can be displayed vertically in it's complete launch stack or horizontally, resting on the small stands that are included.
The build itself was really fun. The build process is logical and well-organized. A few challenging moments as the inner structure of the rocket is a little complicated to support the outer curved shape. But nothing bad at all. It's also a hair repetitive because, well, the thing is a giant cylinder, but that's to be expected. The anticipation of completing the full, beautiful model makes it all worthwhile.
Overall, it's a beautiful set and a really fun build. Highly recommended (when it's in stock)! I encourage Lego to produce more authentic -- and yes, space -- sets like this! Well done! Here's to the original Lego IDEAS creators of this set! Congratulations!!!

Lego NASA Apollo Saturn V

I saw this Lego NASA Apollo Saturn V on the LEGO website in summer 2017, it was no longer available and I requested. Last week January 2018 I saw it was now available and I ordered on line and was delivered in 2 days.
I spent two nights (8 hours) to build the Lego NASA Apollo Saturn V....it is absolutely fantastic and I love it 100%. Thank you very much LEGO :-)

I will start this review off this a review of the lego site. 0/5, your site was practically DDOSed by the hype this set created. I spent a good 3 hours trying to re-ad this product to my cart and then to checkout.
The product itself is great. But we all know that. It's pretty hard for a Saturn 5 lego build to be bad. The way this set goes together is extremely relaxing and pleasing. Like a lot of other people this is the first lego set I've built in almost 20 years.
Lego make more NASA stuff.

Excellent Piece and Value

I put this set together over the course of three nights. Legos aren't hard because you have instructions, but some of the pieces in this set were difficult to put together. It is a large set...I referenced a wine bottle next to the rocket and the bottle dwarfs in comparison.
For the money, this is the best set Lego has put out! No wonder it's so hard to keep in stock.
I would recommend this to a friend!
