Great product! Only thing that can be frustrating is putting all the clear legos together! Makes it somewhat difficult to double check placement. Putting it together when finished a bit hard. Ship is tiny and easy to build. I think it’s one of my favorite Lego sets. Everyone loves it!

I got this set as a Christmas present, and it is awesome. I enjoyed building the ship in a bottle. It looks cool in my beach-themed room, and it was easy to build.

A-Hoy! Lots of fun to build BUT fragile

I had a great time building this lots of fun, but the smallest mast of the three with the sails was not nearly as secure as the other two. The part where the ship rested in the bottle was very fragile only once it connected with the top quarter section of the bottle did it feel secure. Other than that it looks GREAT! So beautiful once it is finished.

Love ship in a bottle since I was a child. Glad to find this product in Lego. The feeling of assembling the crystal bricks for the bottle made a delightful building experience. The idea of using blue bricks as water is really smart. Loved the cork, base, abstraction of the ship, and every detail of this product.

Beautiful Display Piece

I actually voted for this one while it was on the Idea’s website. It’s very different from the original but still an amazing set. The entire line of Ideas sets is great in that we get to have something in Lego form that we typically couldn’t get. This set makes for the perfect desk/office display.

Half sunk ship in bottle.

Well, overall and considering it IS Lego, not a bad build. But a few things bother me on the design. First is that it is a little on the small side. A little larger and maybe the ship would be more detailed. Second, far too many pieces to the bottle bottom. And they tend to fall apart easily when handled. Third, the bottle has too many seams that are connected by clear blocks. Even though they are clear all the seams tend to block seeing the ship within. Fourth, all the time spent on building the base w/compass is wasted since you can't see the compass with the bottle mounted. A nice touch though would have been a real small compass. They are cheap enough. Last, it needs more "water" pieces to fill the bottom. All that said, it is interesting and somwhat impressive. I bought two. And after the first build results I am going to update the next. I am going to find an appropriate different more detailed ship. Order more "water" pieces. Find a real compass. Raise the bottle cradle so the compass can be seen. And then try to assemble the bottle without the seam connectors obscuring the ship. Overall the subject is great, the build slightly more than the normal challenge and it is priced a little too high but on a Lego scale. Get it even just for the subject matter.
