Ship in bottle is nautical fun

The build was fun. The ship is good looking and the bottle has lots of clear space to view it through. I expected the water to be a fit together floor but instead, it was loose pieces, which look great. The base was really the most complex part of the build and gives it a classic ship in bottle look. Really enjoyable build. Now to find the best place to display it.

A Ship of Remembrance

I love this product. I would like to thank the creator Jack Sadovich for coming up with this concept. When I first saw it I knew what I wanted to do with it. As you can see from the picture yo will notice I’ve made it personal to me. My grandma and aunt were killed back in the summer of 2016 and them my grandpa passed away this past October. I thought this kit was a great way to have something to remember them by in a unique way. I hope Mr. Sadovich doesn’t mind me making it personal to me.

Love this so much

Fun to build although tricky to pick out tiny clear bricks and studs among all the other tiny clear bricks and studs. This made the bottom of the bottle the fiddliest part to put together. My eyes were so tired I sat the rest aside until the next day. It goes together fairly quickly after that and looks amazing! I have displayed it proudly on my shelf with the 'compass' orientated north. So many nice pieces make up great detail on this. I love it. Very happy with the display value of this. Easy to dust too.

Nice set to display near the tv. Only took a couple of hours with drink breaks to build. Mine seems to have a cracken infestation.

Lack of quality control.

It is very beautiful model and it was a pleasure to build, but there are some quality issues:
1) The most part of transparent details 4215618 in my set are slightly yellowish. It does not match the other parts of the bottle.
2) The ship and the bottle on all official photos of this set are turned right, but in the manual they are turned left. It is not a critical problem of course, but a lack of perfection.
3)The bottom of the bottle is difficult and beautiful element, but some construction decisions looks strange. Steps 21 & 31 in manual for example. Why you are using 2*3000840 instead of 1* 4167842? It could be a little beat more rigid, if you did vice versa.
This is not the quality you are expecting from LEGO.

I'm very sorry to hear that your not happy with your new Ship in a Bottle set. The beauty of this set is you can display it any way you want, right or left there is no incorrect way. Step 21 & 31 was deliberetly done by the designers. Having a 1x1 brick there allows for more stability later in the build. The feedback you gave is great and I'd be happy to pass that along to our designers. In regards to the parts you have that are discolored, we can help with that. Wonderful set

I really enjoyed putting this set together. Attaching the neck of the bottle to the bottle can be a little challenging, but overall it went great. It makes a great display piece and I get lots of compliments on it.

Lego in a Bottle; Excellent!

First build the ship. It is harder than it looks with a lot of intricate pieces. I got distracted and left out a couple of pieces which we all have done. But once back on track, I focused and got it done. After the ship build came the bottle. There are many small pieces which need to fit just right to put this together. It is time consuming but the reward is the finished product. It is a fantastic build. I would highly recommend this set.

Yo Ho Ho And A Bottle of Fun

I really enjoyed putting this set together. When I saw the bag of transparent pieces I thought “OMG” that’s going to be difficult to do” but I was ok. I enjoyed the challenge of putting the bottle together especially the bottom of the bottle. And the size of it! I knew the measurements but I was shocked how big it was when finished. Highly recommended build
