Color does not match old baseplates
on September 28, 2021

This baseplate is a much brighter shade of green than the old baseplates. Terrible. Doesn't match anything that we already own.
LEGO - why would you do this?
Please change the color back to the old, darker green.

I really like this baseplate because of the color. It really gives a new level of freshness to models that I build. Also, It comes in different sizes in some of the Creator sets.
Another job well done, LEGO!

Everything is awesome

This was a great product in my opinion for three reasons. (1) it came quickly in the mail. (2) the price was reasonable. (3) the color and size is perfect for my upcoming projects. I think I'll come back and buy some more soon.

All they did was raise the price.

All they did was raise the price. Seriously, Why Lego Why. $4.99 was a good price but you had raise it to $7.99. Other than that the base plate is great expect the price.

The color is wrong and bad.

This baseplate is not the same color as the old baseplates and is not a good color to represent grass or plants at all. It also doesn't match the green bricks, so trying to build terrain on it looks wrong... Judging by the reviews, this has been going on for years.
I really love LEGO but I hope they change this back or at least offer the old color as an option. I wish I read the reviews before purchasing this one, which is not something I would expect to have to do for a baseplate lol. Not sure what I am gonna do with these wacky green ones.

Not the same

These are not the same "classic" LEGO green you would expect. These do not match the old green plates that I had, I was very disappointed when I opened these.

Same Plate, Higher Price
on January 7, 2015

LEGO has simply taken the same Green Base plate they have sold for years and given it a different name along with a substantial price increase. A 60% price hike over 1 year is a bit extreme. It used to be $4.99 USD. I got sticker shock when I saw these new plates. It is still a good quality product from LEGO, it will just cost much more.

(WRONG COLOR)

I found myself needing the average normal green baseplate only to find out that it was the wrong color with no warning. I bought TEN of these baseplates to a while back for my collection. Of coarse I was disappointed, because of the color change. I find it odd all of the sudden that Lego changed their main green color to this unsatisfing green color. Not only this thier green 16x16 baseplates are like this also. I love Lego and always will, and will always be a supporter, but this time I give a big thumbs down. I say listen to the many reviews Lego and fix this quick. It has been a couple of years now and I am still waiting patiently I just decided to respond now.

Hello there, When it comes to storing your LEGO® bricks, we always recommend that you store them somewhere that is dry and away from any heat source. It’s best not to store them in direct sunlight, or where the temperature exceeds 104° F (40° C) as this may cause bricks to become brittle or discolor over time. Please get in touch with our Customer Service on LEGO.build/Service-BV. We'd love to help!
