Base plates rule!
on July 11, 2019

These work nearly perfect for the custom Lego tables my husband built for our kids. I just wish that maybe the edges locked together or fit kinda like a jigsaw puzzle, because sometimes its hard to snap bricks to two base plates butted up next to each other. They also work awesome for travel Legos boxes my husband made for our kids to take when we go on vacation.
Wish there were more colors

Horrible color

These do not match my old baseplates or the greenery I have. The new color is neon green and not natural at all. Please change this back!

Bright Green. Whoops.

I ordered these without reading the reviews. Yeah that was dumb. I, like many others, was under the assumption they would be the original dark green, but they weren’t. Base plates are great, so this product is still useful. Just don’t buy it if you want the former shade of green. Hey I learned my lesson though. And can we get the original green back again soon? Heck maybe in the size of the grey baseplate (48x48 I believe), that’d be amazing!

Ugly Green

It's not the green we grew up with, it's an awful green that will require plates to cover up when building display models.

my grandson loves this plate - he calls this the grass when he builds his lego city - he has a blue base plate that is the water - a beige base plate that is the land and of course he has the road base plates to go in and around his lego city that is built on the big grey base plate - i would recommend any of the base plates for any lego fan

Very thin and flexible

For the price, I would not recommend this baseplate. It is made of thin plastic compared to those included in sets and bends easily. The different height also means plates do not line up.

Hello, thanks so much for your valuable feedback about this baseplate! We're sorry to hear about any disappointment, particularly when it comes to the thickness of it compared to other plates. There are some design differences between baseplates and plates, and I hope I can help explain and clear up any possible confusion between both! Baseplates such as this one are specially designed to be at the bottom of a build and not connect up with any other LEGO pieces underneath, which is why they are thinner. They are also available in larger sizes than plates, which is why you'll find that their cost may be more. Plates are thicker because they allow a connection on both top and bottom. This is why each different part won't line up when placed next to each other.

Why So Many Bad Reviews?

This product is great! If you are looking for a way to get green ground for a Lego build this is how! One thing I would like to mention though is the baseplate is a little expensive and I wish that it had inverse studs on the bottom so that it could be used on top of Lego bricks. The baseplate still works great though! Definitely would recommend!
