I usually don't review things, but this set is so beautiful and was so much fun to put together. I recently started building Legos again as an adult and bought this set as soon as I saw it. I was wowed by the huge amount of detail - from the power tools and diving accessories in crates to the fishing poles, maps, and paintings hanging on the walls - that I didn't even know were part of the set until I started building! I love the rustic New England style and the subdued color palette - it's such a delight to look at and play with.

Surprising favorite

I bought this because my grandfather was born in a spot near a fishing village. Made me thing of him but hadn't really thought of sheathed it looked like an enjoyable build or not. Has turned out to be one of the best ever. Is a complicated build and you have to watch the directions very closely or you will be backtracking to move pieces. Came out very impressive. Because of this I have now purchased the creator expert detective's office and brick bank to see if I will enjoy those as much.

Great build! Super fun and a great interactive set! My only downside and I’m still giving it full rating is just I wish the roof clipped on somewhere as opposed to just laying there. Unless I missed something! But I love it. Bought it in memory of my grandfather! He would have gotten a kick out of it!

Old Fishing Store

I’ve been admiring this set for months and finally decided to treat myself to a used set found on Bricklinks. I’m a novice builder and the only other set I built by myself was a tiny Easter Chick! So this was a real test for me. I loved every single minute building this set. The thing that attracted me to the set was the sand green siding on the store, and the contrasting exterior colors. The colors are beautiful. The building directions are clear, although I sometimes found it difficult to distinguish between the light and dark browns in the pictures. It became easier as I went along. I built slowly to make sure I wouldn’t need to redo any steps. This was a great first solo building experience and I’m so happy with the results!
I would recommend this to a friend!
