I really haven't found anything negative about this toaster. I'm very happy with it. I especially love the defrost feature. I have never liked freezing my bread because the toast always came out tough. With this Cuisinart, using the defrost feature gives me perfect toast every time. I can't tell the bread was frozen.

I have had my toaster for a month or so and it has been really great. The style fits right in with all of our other kitchen appliances both large and small. I have used it for bagels and toast. With both, we have achieved great results with the easy to adjust dial. I was concerned about the level of browning on the toast and so far have seen that it is even. The cancel function also works well but it is still early in the lifecycle so I really hope that the elements to toast and cancel function work for a long time as those have been two functions that failed in the past on different brands. I wouldn't hesitate again to get another one so you shouldn't either! Go get one for yourself and check it out.

I was disappointed with the color control. Feels way to loose, no control over it...not sure it makes a difference what # it is even on. It is ok. Would not but again.

Very attractive device which worked nicely until it stopped toasting well on one side then stopped toasting at all on one side. We replaced it with a Cuisinart 2 slice toaster......it burns the bread on one side.

So far so good with my new 4 slice metal classic toaster! I'm still getting used to the correct temperature settings because I use lots of different kinds of bread but always use toasted bread. It's easy to push down the knobs, and easy to set the different settings ie: bagels, reheat, defrost, etc.
