We like the classic styling of the toaster and it does a fair job of toasting bread. The crumb trays are accessible through the rear which is ok and it hides them from every day view. The spring mechanism feels and sounds cheap though. It does not work smoothly at all and is something I would expect to find on a much less expensive toaster but not this one. Also the elements do not all heat up correctly which results in uneven toasting of the bread. Also as the element sections which do not heat up are more on one side than the other. This results in uneven toasting from side to side so you have to flip the toast midway through if you want the bread to be evenly toasted. Lastly, the slots could be a bit wider to more easily accommodate bagels, etc. It's a good toaster but has too many flaws to earn a recommendation and it's price I expected much more quality and consistency.
