This unit is similar to our last, but seems to me a little less quality. It is a very good toaster, nonetheless. Switched yo Cuisinart about three or four toasters ago, and have been very satisfied!

Most of the time it works great, so I gave it a 3 rating. Occasionally, however, the toast doesn’t even get brown in the right-sided slots. It is inconsistent. Because I can keep pushing down the control and eventually get it to toast, I did not return it, too much trouble. After what I paid, I would expect it to work perfectly all the time. I would not buy it again.
