I purchased this toaster to replace another Cuisisnart toaster that we have had for at least ten years. We were very pleased with that toaster and the only reason that we replaced it was that it was only toasting on one side.
The new toaster is an improvement over the old one because it has separate controls for each serving of two slices. It also has individual settings for different products which eliminates the guesswork long associated with guessing at how many cycles to use to toast a bagel properly.
I would recommend this toaster to everyone looking for a new toaster.

I thought all toasters were the same, but I guess not. The toast from this toaster is superb. I seems to be more moist than from other brand toasters I have had. I hate dry crumbly toast, and I don't get that from this toaster.

A few months ago, I bought this toaster. After a couple of months, we gave up on our unevenly toasted frozen waffles (cold on one side, too crispy on the other side) and called Cuisinart to send us another one, per warranty. We eagerly tested our 'new' toaster and experienced the same results. We tried different shade settings and toasting without the special effects (defrost, bagel), no change.

This is the best toaster we have ever owned. The different settings are fantastic for whatever you are toasting or defrosting. Having four wide slots is a plus also!

Some slices of bread are too long to fit in toaster and some slice bagels will not fit due to narrow fit inside toaster. Toasting seems to be even. Bought because of previous experiance with Cuisinart product, but am somewhat sorry.
