I returned the toaster. One time the toast was undercooked, the next time it was burnt. Using same bread and settings. I was looking forward to the features but they didn't work as described. Disappointed as I always thought Cuisinart was a reliable brand.

Haven't even had this toaster one month and one of the carriage levers is already not working. That's what I get for buying a product made in a third world country China. Won't ever buy this brand again and will pass the experience along for free.

I love this toaster! I have the same one in red for many years but changed my kitchen so I needed a different color so I opted for the same toaster in Black stainless.

My old toaster was 27 years old when it died. It was a gift from my mother. This one was from an award for doing my job over an beyond. I love this toaster, the sliding crumb trays are perfect, my old one you had to pop the bottom off and stuff went everywhere. Now I have options for bagels, frozen and other stuff. Love the fact that you can push up on handles to make getting out things like English muffins easier to get out. I would recommend getting this toaster to anyone.

The heating elements do not always heat evenly. You can see this when toasting bread that some sides or sections are paler that others, or even just by looking at the heating elements- some are more red than others. We had the 2-slice model for 15 years and were very happy with it, but with a large family wanted to upgrade to a larger size. The older 2-slice model seems better made than this newer 4-slice model.

bought this toaster to have in our winter rental. Found the knobs to be extremely loose. Have same toaster at home and the knobs are much tighter. Doesn't make any difference if we turn it up or down it toasts the same.
