I was looking for a predominantly metal toaster that I would hope is non-toxic, especially in the interior and this appears to fit the bill. Especially with lots of other toaster brands using harmful non-stick coating. The design is uncomplicated, just the way my family likes it. And so far, it's been toasting well, the knob usually doesn't need to be dialed past 1. The price point was great too, and it looks sleek with our other stainless steel appliances.

I am extremely disappointed with my purchase of a Cuisinart toaster. It does not matter which slot you put your bread it, it toasts only partially. I always have to turn the bread around and put it down again to get any kind of an even toast. I do wish i had returned it but now it's too late.
I have other Cruisinart products that I am delighted in but would never recommend their toaster.
