Have had this unit about three months. So far it's working reasonably well, though doesn't toast as evenly as my 20+ year-old Sunbeam that had finally given up the ghost. One odd feature: The crumb trays pull out from the back of the unit. Even the old Sunbeam's tray pulled out from the front -- much handier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sorry to report that the aforementioned toaster did not meet expectation for the Cuisinart brand.

Toasts bread and bagels very unevenly (one side more/less);

Is inconsistent regarding “light/dark” (with same setting).
Very disappointed.

The Cuisinart toaster is sturdy, there a wide-selection of temperature selections, bagels fit nicely, as well, and the look modern.
