I liked this toaster, easy to use and not too big to put away when not using. If did fine at first but now it is July 28, 2019 and the toaster does not work correctly . The slider to hold the bread or bagels will not hold thus the toaster does not work anymore. No toasting at all.

I LOVE that it’s a 4 slot toaster and I just realized that I can remove the bottom slots of my toaster as well! to clean all the crumbs left over from the bread and wafffles, bagels etc. a sleek design and blends prefect with my other kitchen appliances and tools! 5 stars for sure!

The 4 Slice Metal Classic Toaster looks great, performs well with attention to some details, and is reasonably priced. I particularly like the warm-up mode for serving (precisely-timed) poached eggs Benedict on warm toast slices, and the ability to raise the upper edge of the toast away from hot metal. I don't always require "fool proof" to rate 5 stars, but should note that it is necessary to read the instructions and remember that the far right "single slice" slot must always have bread in it for any number of slots used. Allow for some experimentation at first and note carefully the numerical settings you have greatest success with for various types of bread or muffins, and use them consistently. With some attention to settings, 1 to 4 slices toast evenly. That said, best toaster I have ever used.

I've had Cuisinart products for many years - starting in the mid-70s with the purchase of the newly introduced food processor. But I was disappointed in the quality of this toaster. I have a toaster in another home and expected my purchase to be as good" as that one. It is not. It is lightweight, not solid like other toasters - I can only describe it as "cheap."
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the price, this is a decent toaster. It looks good, it toasts fine, and the crumb trays are convenient to have. The knobs do feel a bit too easy to turn, but I can live with that at this price-point. Toasting is mostly even. Springs work fine for popping the toast up. I actually spent hours going over toaster reviews for different brands and models, and I'm happy to say I'm satisfied with my purchase.
