Most of the time we have to drop it down twice even on the highest setting to get it done the way we like it. When it stops toasting it barely pushes the bread up.

Wide slots to accomodate half a bagel. Spring to hold thinner breads in the center for even roasting. Looks like a mini cooper. Love it
