We received a toaster almost 33 years ago as a wedding present unfortunately things don’t last forever so we bought a new one exactly the same and I love it.
This toaster does everything we wanted to do and more because it’s a Cruisinart

Our first Cuisinart toaster. It is solid not flimsey. Love how it toasts evenly on both sides. Has worked well for bagels and glutten free bread. Wish the toaster was black not just end.

The New Unit Is Made much Cheaper than the old.

I purchased this toaster to replace the exact same make and model that I have had for several years. The first thing I noticed was that the new toaster weighed much less than the previous toaster, and indication that the manufacturer has changed their product significantly. The second thing I noticed was that the toaster only toasted the bread on one side, in EVERY TOASTER SLOT! I returned this unit and kept my old dented one that works much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
