We purchased this as a replacement to our old toaster, wanting something well made and durable. It works…fine….but it’s definitely not the quality I would have expected for the cost or from Cuisinart. The heating elements are inconsistent and you can look down and see that the top maybe 1/3 of them aren’t as hot (or even on) as the lower ones. The dials on the front are REALLY loose. Not in a way that will come off, but there’s a lot of play in them to the point that turning it to 3 could really be closer to 2 or 4 and you can’t really tell. Every once in a while it takes a couple presses to totally engage.
Honestly, for the money I would look at another option.

It looks cute and stylish in your kitchen. But it’s a little flimsy for a family. The bread slots are smaller than I expected do I have to cut all the bread before toasting. I just know the plastic toaster buttons will break at some point. Also, it either under toasts leaving soggy bread or over cooks. I would not recommend this toaster.

Had for a month now and it's not toasting as evenly as it did when it was new. Once side is almost not toasted at all and the other is. Still on the hunt for the perfect toaster which I'm beginning to think doesn't exists.
