The toaster heat coils don't not provide even heating to toast evenly on both sides of the bread, bagel, etc.

Works as expected! Our office expectations are basement level as the last toaster we had previously had spiders living in it. My coworker brings her bagel to work now to toast because she prefers it over her one at home.
