Great toaster! I like that you can adjust the settings for how long the bread is in there. It is also helpful to have the lift option to get the toast out so you don't burn your fingers. I also like that it's more compact than my old toaster and takes up less space.

Hamilton Beach 4 slice toaster beats Cuisinart

I have high standards for the quality of cuisinart products due to the substantially higher price to other brands. The temperature and pull down knobs feels flimsy and looks cheap. I appreciate you do not need a heavy hand, but expect some resistance to be confident it will endure daily use. I do not see any difference between the function of this toaster than our previously owned Hamilton Beach black chrome 4 slice toaster. It worked very well for 15 years and felt/looked better constructed than this cuisinart model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought toaster in 2020. Six months later it started to burn one side of the toast and brown the other side. I like Cuisinart products and thought it might just be a lemon so I bought another one in 2021. We'll see if this one lasts longer.
