Works well. I had a very similar model that lasted for over 15 years. This one seems a little cheaper made and lighter duty. So far however seems good.

You put bread in and it toasts the bread...exactly what I bought it for. Toasting is great once you get it dialed in. Only two things that I find a bit negative. 1. While there is a bagel setting, the slots are a bit too narrow to et a bagel in. 2. If you buy Wonder bread or the like the slot is good but if you buy any type of artisan bread the slot is a bit short and half your bread will stick out so you have to rotate the bread and toast again.
