Does what a toaster is supposed to do, and does it well. Wide slots can handle thick bagels. I particularly like the "Defrost" option - takes a frozen piece of bread to a perfect piece of toast. The "Reheat" option is a nice touch if you've forgotten the bread or bagel you put in the toaster - this toaster will warm them up without burning them.
I'm very pleased with my choice.

Does not toast evenly. Control knobs are very loose and difficult to see the settings. Will not accommodate anything but a standard size slice of bread so anything longer/wider must be cut to fit. Not what we would have expected from Cusinart. Had our last Cusinart toaster for more than 20 years. The new will not last nearly that long.

knobs are too loose and won't stay exactly where you select toast color.

The toast gets brown even at the lowest setting so no point having so many settings! The writing on the various buttons are hard to read (I can only see them if I wear my reading glasses). The buttons do not light up. The toaster looks nice though and has all the settings I wanted.

Absolutely love it. It toasts great The outside of the machine does not get hot which is nice for handling. There is a release on the lever so you can easily lift the toast up higher to grab it. Is very attractive and low profile
