We replaced our Cuisinart 4 slice toaster with a new Cuisinart 4 slice toaster and their quality has gone downhill. The handle needs to be pushed down numerous times to stick on both sides and it is not toasting evenly. The new version is smaller and more lightweight and does not hold the wide loaf bread pieces that the old one did. We are considering returning it.

My wife and I tried 2 other toaster brands and took them both back because they did not toast both sides of the bread.It was because of the poor quality heating element in them. The Cuisinart toaster browns both side of whatever you are toasting evenly every time. They make quality products that we can depend on. We are very happy with our Cuisinart purchase.

Purchased full price. Went on sale the next day. Poor poor quality. I've tried all 4 toasting slots and one side of bread is soft and one is toasted. It's way too expensive not to toast evenly. Will not ever purchase Cuisinart again.

I purchased this toaster based on a recommendation from wirecutter. The pros are, I like the size of the toaster, it toasts quickly, it looks professional and has the features I was after. I’m disappointed that the bagel button does not toast one side of bagel but both sides and just extends the toast cycle. In my mind, this is not what a bagel button is supposed to do. Another disappointment, is that the toasty lever when pushed feels a bit cheap and tinny, would like a more positive feel.
