Don't waste your time

This is my 2nd Motorola phone and I loved the 1st one soooo much I wanted to get another one. However, the Moto G Play 6 is nothing to brag about. I can't talk on the phone using the speaker, Bluetooth, or headset because the other person has difficulty hearing me.

Hi Blessed_1, we understand how you feel. It could be very troublesome, but let me help. Is this happening intermittently, or on all phone calls? Is this happens even when you have a strong signal strength? Have you tried to do a diagnostic test thru Device Help > Fix > Hardware Tests > Microphone? What was the result? You could also put the phone in Safe Mode to check if there is any third party application that causes the issue. To boot into Safe mode, press the physical power key, touch and hold Power off, touch OK when Reboot to Safe mode appears. You get what you pay for

This phone is SO frustrating. It is much slower than the phone I replaced from a different manufacturer. Added a few normal apps and the phone was basically a snail after that. I wanted an affordable phone and after reading the reviews, I thought I had a made a good choice. I am using an old phone for my Audible App in the car because it shuts down the Moto. I would not recommend this phone.

Sadly, I thought it would be good to give Motorola, since they invented the cell phone system that the world uses, but the product stinks and I had to trade it in on another phone

Moto G6 Play problems

I have owned Motorola phones for many years and never had a problem with any of them. I have had the G6 Play for about 3 months now and it continues to freeze up and act very slowly. Most functions are slow to react such as the camera and opening apps. The phone will freeze up, the screen will go black and then go back to normal after a few minutes. When talking on the phone, the sound cuts out and becomes garbled every 3 minutes. I installed a 32 GB micro SD card but it doesn't help. I am about to go back to my Moto G4 phone that still works perfectly.

Phone is 6 months old and randomly turns off by itself. This last time it turned off it will not charge or turn on. DO NOT BUY
