Really bad phone

This phone, while the features and price point are very nice, simply is a terrible phone. I have had it for about 3 months and performance is just awful. I had a Moto G2 and it was a very good phone. Had for about 3 years and figured it was time for an upgrade. Bought the G6 play and after about a month, everything lags. Need to constantly restart it. Example: you go to take a picture, your camera pops up, all of the sudden the app shuts off automatically. It will do that until you restart it. It does this for everything about twice a week. I only use my phone to talk, text, check email, and read news. No crazy apps that would bog down performance. Never had this problem in the past. Stay away from this phone. Don't say you weren't warned!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice but slow

Hi, kchefspice. For the slow performance issue, sometimes caused by too many running apps in the background, use your recent apps button to close apps you are no longer using. You may also need to check your internal memory, When the internal memory of the phone is full or almost full, you may experience a sluggish user interface, latency when switching menus, or in some cases the display freezing or reboot which is already happening on the device. It is also a good practice to restart the device periodically (at least every 48 hours) to clear out buffers and memory that may lead to intermittent issues. You can also try to boot the device in Safe Mode and observe. To boot into Safe mode, press the physical power key, touch and hold Power off, touch OK when Reboot to Safe mode appears. If it works fine while in Safe modes, then it's possible that a 3rd party app is a culprit. Try removing some recently downloaded apps and see if it helps. -Jhei MotorolaMobility

Sleek and fast

I bought this phone for my husband. It is nice and has a great feel to it. We both are not phone people, we want it to call and surf the internet and read our emails. If it takes nice pics, that's a bonus. This one does all of that and holds a great charge. Mission Accomplished!!

Great Phone

I have the Moto G 6 play and I really like this phone. It have so many functions and features, takes great pictures. Compared to the other costly phones this is an exceptionally phone to have. I would buy another Motorola phone.
