Great warranty

I bought a GE Microwave in Oct 22 and the light without after five months. GE said the bulb was not replaceable, however, GE sent me a voucher to purchase a new microwave. Very pleased with their warranty and customer service. Great products. Have owned other GE for many years.

Product quality vs price?

Only had the microwave for 2 months. So far it suits may daily needs. My only concern is its longevity. It is made with thin sheet metal and sounds like a tin can opening and closing the door. The side that emits microwaves has a flimsy cover. So you will have to be careful inserting and removing food so as not to damage the microwave wall. GE- Note I would have been willing to pay extra for a better shield for the microwave wall. So far GE lost one star for the reasons stated above.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor quality of the door latch release

Product so far works fine. But The door is sticky. It does not open when the door latch release on the right bottom is pressed. We have to press the release latch and pull the door outward for it to open

We're so glad to hear that your new microwave is working fine. That's great news! We're also sorry that you seem to be having issues with the door latch. It is best to open the door by pressing the center of the door latch release. When pressing in areas off center and further from it, the door latch may be more difficult to operate. This is normal for this unit.

However, if it is still doing this regardless of where the door latch release is being pressed, please take full advantage of your warranty and schedule a service appointment.
