This is my 3rd GE Microwave...

This is my 3rd GE Microwave and it is the only brand I will use. They are well made, and last a long time. They have all the bells and whistles, but don't require a fortune to own.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Clock does not light up very bright.

The light on the clock is not very bright. Was much better on my 16 year old GE microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Microwave broke within 10 days after installation. Microwave display worked, tray inside would rotate but food never warmed up.

I was very disappointed with this microwave. My old microwave, which was a GE brand, finally quit after 14 years of great service. I replaced it with this unit thinking it would be as reliable as my old one. But it was not. The unit did heat food placecd in it but the exhaust fan did not work. On my first use I set the timer for seven minutes but the fan did not kick in and the unit shut it down after about five minutes. It also got extremely hot to the touch and there was the smell of hot wires/motor. Returned it and bought a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Inconsistent heating, possibly defective

It barely can be described as functioning, let alone, of good quality. It frequently shuts itself off after only 2-3 minutes of cooking. It occasionally makes a loud noise like a motorcycle starting. When it does cook normally, it's inconsistent. The same item can take 45 seconds or 2 minutes to achieve the same result.

It worked but we had to take it back.

We bought5his microwave and the metal waspaper thin. I used it two times for six minutes on two different days and it got so hot on top you could not touch it. The glass in front also turned white.
Ephesians took it back and got another GE Microwave a 2 cu. ft 1200 watt microwave and it is a better me oven. It cost more but so far has been worth it.
