Quiet, easy to learn, so far nice.

So far we are pleased. It replaced a more expensive larger unit. There fore not as hot. Easy to learn. Lots quieter. Great price point.

Can't really complain about much. This microwave is lacking some modern bells and whistles but I knew that when I purchased it. It works great so far and does everything that we use a microwave for well.

Exceeded expectations

Bought the microwave today for the office and used it within an hour of purchase. Reheated a small portion of (room temperature) soup for less than 30 seconds and it was piping hot. That was enough to make me happy on a miserable rainy day :)

I've never had a GE microwave before.. but its quieter than any I've ever had ! Love the size.. heats and cooks great.. I love it .. it's worth price..

Would give zero stars if i could

Complete and utter disappointment ! Purchased the microwave and didn’t use it until after the warranty was done. It was for a basement apartment. The first time it was used for more than 3 minutes the overload protector shut it down. Happened approximately 6 times. Now it doesn’t heat up anything. Time to junk it. Apparently this is the way GE builds their appliances today. FYI, also purchased a GE refrigerator at the same time. The defrost cycle for the freezer stopped working, it was the main control board. GE already had a updated replacement control board for it. Obviously they know its an issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our microwaves have a varistor to protect the control system from powerline surges, so using a separate surge protector wouldn’t be necessary unless you simply prefer to or you live in an area where heavy thunderstorms and lightning are common.
