The microwave works fine but the fan is making a buzzing noise which may be normal for this microwave but is definitely louder than my old one.

The first thing we tried cooking the microwave shut off. After waiting about 10 minutes it came back to life, then died again. I returned it for another and it died as well. I returned for a different brand and it works fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HI Worthless again - Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear of the difficulty you had with the GE microwave you purchased and the subsequent replacement. What you experienced is very unusual and certainly not what anyone should expect with a GE model. As this is a counter top model, it does require 3" of air clearance on the top, both sides and 1" clearance in the rear to allow for heat dissipation. If the appropriate air clearances are not provided, the unit could overheat and shutdown. We will share your feedback with our microwave design team. We are truly sorry for your inconvenience. Junk. Never has worked properly. Working with GE to replace this microwave in less than 2 weeks. Has a had a PF code come up after every use. Have to unplug unit and let sit for awhile and then it resets. Called GE and they offered goodwill certificate. A lot hoops to jump thru to replace 2 week old microwave
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
