We recently did a full renovation on our kitchen and put in a small microwave cabinet. We purchased all GE appliances (which I absolutely love, by the way) and they are all in the slate color. We decided to buy the microwave in black - because it cost half as much as the slate color, would arrive weeks earlier, and would be inside the cubby anyways. We love it! The color is actually a soft black, which looks surprisingly similar to the slate. So far, I love all of my GE appliances.

Love my microwave

So far, I totally love my microwave. Has many vents to heat and cook food evenly. I even cooked pizza in it. I do, however, wish it was a 1250 watt. Since I was unable to find one in this brand, I knew this 1150 watt would work and I’d still be happy. The Toshiba in the 1100 watt I had bought a week before, only had 1 vent and did not work well. I returned it for my GE. As of today, it is really great, heats really quick and takes less time in the oven.
I had 2 people tell me they would buy a GE before any other brand. My closest friend told me when hers goes out, she wants one just like mine. She was very excited for me.

Intuitive operation with panel buttons for most needed cooking requirements, and very quiet operation. Huge improvement of older model that failed after 6+ years of use.

I like the sensor feature and more

I really like the sensor feature especially for beverages. I also like how it beeps every minute or so when finished so you don’t forget anything. Nice bright clock. I have only had it a few day, but really like it so far. Great price too for what you get. Seems to be a perfect size at 1.6 cu. ft.
