A solid performing microwave

We read product reviews online and choose this GE because of ratings and past microwave was a GE. Controls button press effort is higher than previous GE microwave but overall no complaints.

Gets food hot quick. But can be a little confusing at first, for example if you put food in the microwave and come back a little while latter and try starting it, you may get a message on the screen that reads "FOOD" and does not start. just open the door and close it again before starting. some kind of sensor that resets after a given time will prevent starting.

Had my last GE microwave for 19 years - this one is a little bigger, and a little more powerful. Amazed at how much faster it is. I do miss the option to turn off the beeping sounds of the touch panel, but not a show-stopper. Hope this lasts as long as the last one!
