Super Fast and Efficient

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.
I am very impressed with how quickly this printer can print pages, it is almost ridiculous how fast it is. It prints in nearly half the time it takes my other printer to even get started printing. There is also a very simple duplex feature that prints both sides within seconds. I`ve had other printers that are supposed supposed to print duplex, but they make it super complicated, not the case with this one. Another great feature is that it prints rather quietly. I also love that it connects to wifi.
There is no assembly required which is great, but I found that setup was a little complicated as the instructions didn`t give enough detail nor did it include an HDMI cable for that setup option. Luckily, I`ve set up many printers in my past and was eventually able to figure it out. The install disc seems rather outdated that is included and was not relevant to my situation as none of my computers even have a space for a disc. I had to go to the Canon website and find the installer there. I did find it was easy to connect all of my other computers to the wireless printer after the initial install, so that part was a breeze.
I would find it useful if they included an HDMI cable for future installation since they provide instructions for that, or at least providing a link where to download the installer if none of the other ways are going to be a good fit. This printer is definitely great for quick, black and white, every day printing which is what I need a printer for most of the time. If you don`t mind digging a bit to figure out how to install, I recommend giving this printer a shot, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

duct in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Works great. Easy to plug in and use. Would like it to update and install everything automatically as updates are available. Use with phone is easy.

Good Bang for the Buck

First Impression: I compared this printer with another brands All in one printer that quit on me after a year of service. It`s a little smaller in use. I like that the paper tray can be closed after loading, and no overhanging exit tray.
Setup: I had a little hiccup with setup. The instructions are telling me I need a USB cable that I cannot find anywhere. A trip to a brick and mortar reveals that I need a USB-A to USB-B cable. After purchasing this cable I couldn`t get the printer recognized with Windows 10 desktop. I had no problem discovering the printer after connecting my Wireless SSID.
Use: This thing prints much faster than my old printer. I didn`t time it, but it`s over twice as fast as the old one. Time will tell if this printer holds up well, but it feels pretty solid. I`d recommend this to anyone that needs a no frills black and white printer.

Solid printer

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The printer is super easy to get setup. The screen on the printer is pretty intuitive, and once you input your wifi information it connects to your network and is ready to print. It only prints in black and white but it prints super fast. It also has a relatively small footprint so is a good choice for a small desk in a home office. The instructions were clear and easy to understand, I was able to go from unboxing the printer to printing a test page in about 10 minutes. I have always used regular inkjet printers in the past, and I really enjoy the LBP162dw so far. It`s much faster compared to ink and I like that it gives you the option to print on both sides of the paper. I haven`t had any issues from using the printer so far and I am pleased with the ease of use. For what it is I think this is a decent value. If you`re looking for a basic black and white printer with no frills that prints quickly, is easy to setup, and is reliable this is a solid buy. If you need scanning or more features I think there are better values for your money out there.
