A well engineered machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife bought me an upgrade for Christmas this year, a total surprise. I make bread weekly and make multiple batches of chocolate chip cookies for my class when they do well. My old (over 25 year old) 300 watt ultra power did a good job, but you can tell the difference with the new mixer.

Absolutely amazing!

We were able to make tea cakes, banana pudding, and cream potatoes in a fraction of the time it normally takes to make it. I've already recommended this kitchen aid stand mixer to numerous individuals in my family.

Not as good as I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main reason I bought this machine is for making bread. In the last 10 years I have been using bread machine to make bread dough, works good but need a new bread machine very few years. I searched all different brand and model standmixer, watching many videos on YouTube, then chose this one, hoping it will do the job. So far I have this machine for 3 weeks and I tried 3 different recipes, all turn out not very satisfied. To make a soft bread, your dough had to be smooth and shiny and elastic, but this machine can only use speed 2 to make bread, it's too weak, it took more than 20 minutes to make a so so dough, didn't do any better than a bread machine. For this price, I could buy about 7 bread machines. The only reason I didn't return it is because my husband think it's a horrible idea to return some you used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love to use it, the seven quart bowel is a life saver. It is so handy to be able to use. So glad I chose the bigger motor & metal gears. It is worth every penney.
