Great mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mixer about a month ago to replace an Artisan 5 1/2 quart mixer that I’ve had for years. I just wanted a mixer that was more powerful to tackle the tougher jobs of meat grinding and dough making. It has performed beautifully and is extremely quiet. I love this mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mother has had her stand mixer for at least 20 years and it still goes as strong as it did on day one. I just recently got my very own and it does everything I could ask for and more. This appliance can do just about everything you could want to do in the kitchen especially if you get the attachments for it. I’ve used this to make sweets, meatballs, and quiches. The possibilities are endless with this mixer and it’s well worth the investment when you consider the top of the line quality that will make it last for years and cookies and cookies and cookies to come.

Excellent Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my 5 quart artisan mixer since I need more volume for making wedding cakes! It’s so much quieter than my old mixer and whips up a batch of frosting in half the time. Couldn’t be happier!

This mixer is a work horse for holiday baking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought this for me to use for all the holiday baking I do for family and friends. I usually make double batches of several favorite cookies just to have enough for gifts and to share with neighbors and friends. My 6-qt KitchenAid struggled with that chore, but this new 7-qt mixer just purred! I was able to easily make the double batches needed so I had time to try new recipes this year! Love it!

Quiet, powerful and perfect speed selection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I asked for this as a mother's day gift since the capacity of my 1970s-era K5 (5 qt) Craigslist purchase just wasn't cutting it. I think my K5 model would've kept going for another decade or two but I just wanted a bigger bowl for the cookies my toddler and I are making. I almost did the 6 Qt bowl mixer but it is a smidge taller than this one and would've been a tight squeeze under my countertop.
I'm blown away with how this larger version is actually lighter than my K5 model and also SO MUCH QUIETER. the lowest speed (Stir) is perfect for integrating flour without over-mixing and the fastest speed is perfect for whipping cream quickly (but watch it otherwise you'll end up with butter!). I love it! And look forward to using this model for decades and decades to come.
I wish this model came in more colors - i really wanted a light blue - but I'm happy with the cherry red.

Lift bowl makes it harder to add ingredients
on November 21, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this hoping to use it for large batches of pizza dough and cookies, cakes, etc. It's not as strong/sturdy as I was expecting. The bowl is hard to latch in. The lift bowl (vs. lift head of the smaller 5qt that I have) makes it hard to add ingredients and get the attachment off with the bowl still attached.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
