Great Mixer!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am thrilled with with my new KitchenAid 7 Quart Pro! My first Professional gave me 31 years! I was crushed when the motor finally gave out. I knew I had to replace it with another. Soooo worth the investment!!! I recently bought the Pasta Attachments, and I am looking forward to making some fresh pasta. Superb mixer!!

Great mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a 5qt tilt head that was a nice mixer. But I was doing a lot of baking for a non-profit organization and wanted something bigger. I purchased a 6qt lift and while it was serviceable it was extremely noisy and would bog down when mixing some double batches of dough. I just finished holiday baking with a 7qt lift and it has been a game changer. It handles whatever you want to mix and the best part is that the more powewrful motor is quiet. I love this mixer and I love my husband for getting it for me. Will keep both!

Great Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great large capacity mixer, it's quite but has a lot of power to mix large batch. I wish it came with a small bowl too for small batches, the dough hook does not reach the bottom of the bowl when you have small batch. Also, taking the bowl out is a bit stiff. I guess I have to keep my old 4.5qt mixer around, which still works great. I hope this one will last and will not break as I have little confidence lately with KitchenAid, my fridge had to be serviced 4 times in its first 3 years! Not a good thing for a brand name.

On ATK, Chris Kimball and an associate tested 12 pro stand mixers. They found that the Kitchen Aid 7 Quart Proline stand mixer with a "22" wire whisk was the top choice. Next was the Kitchen Aid 4.5 quart Kitchen Aid stand mixer. My question is, will the Kitchen Aid Proline 6 quart stand mixer adapt to the 22 wire whisk that is used on the Proline 7?
