[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this for my wife to make Easter Bread. This thing works great. Should have bought one years ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has made a huge difference in our brewery kitchen. We started with a home version mixer but realized we needed something more robust. This has been a lifesaver! More robust, gets the job done quicker and more efficiently and looks good at the same time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to buy a more powerful machine for a long time. This does the job. Can't wait to get attachments for pasta, grinder, sausage maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was first married, we received a great stand mixer which has been our stand by for baking and cooking day in and day out. Our kitchen just got renovated, so I splurged on a new one (and the old one is still in great shape!) and I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 7 Quart stand mixer because I’m an avid baker and wanted the larger size to accommodate larger batches. I have a very well used 4 Quart Kichen-Aid stand mixer that I’ve had since 1998. There isn’t a thing wrong with the ‘98 model so I’m keeping it to use for smaller batch recipes. I can’t imagine baking without my Kitchen-Aid. It handles ever job perfectly and is versatile enough to incorporate ingredients at a very slow speed so you don’t have to worry about over mixing, but it’s equally phenomenal for high-speed mixing and whipping for batters and egg whites that require integrating the right amount of air for a perfect consistency. If you’re considering purchasing a Kitchen-Aid Stand Mixer, don’t hesitate! It’s by far my most used counter appliance!! It’s worth the spend and you’ll use it for years and years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a Proline 7 quart a little over a year ago.I really like it.
It all started with some Betty Crocker Brownie mix in October 2018. I found my wintertime retirement hobby, baking.
Things went pretty well until I decided to make "good" chocolate chip cookies. Creaming butter and sugar with an old electric hand mixer was cramping my style, and creating a lot of spray in the kitchen. I broke out my wife’s, maybe 30 year, old Sunbeam stand mixer. The tilt button was broken and would usually fly off across the kitchen, causing a full blown curse fest. But it did make things easier than the hand mixer.
Of course then I decided I could probably bake bread too. It was a logical progression in my mind.
I could get the old Sunbeam to work but man it was working hard, smelled funny too. I had figured out how to catch the tilt button, most of the time.
My cookies and bread got better and better. My brownies had graduated to scratch made, no “power tools” required.
I decided I needed a better mixer.
I think I spent, literally, days reading about mixers on the internet. Just sorting through the Kitchen Aid models was monumental, in my book. Throw in the Arka whatevers and Bosch and it was a challenge to make up my mind.
I received my mixer on Valentine’s Day, 2019. It was my retirement gift to myself. I think, my wife thought I was crazy for buying it, maybe not so much after I got it though. I make some pretty good stuff with this thing, often.
My primary uses are still cookie and bread doughs.
I’m glad I went with the Pro-Line series. I have some dough recipes that are really stiff and it plows right through. No overheating at all. Yep it does click and clack, but, I can tell it’s the dough hook to the shaft, it doesn’t happen with slack doughs.
Fit, finish, and function on mine are fantastic. It really is just beautiful looking in sugar pearl silver, probably any of the finishes though.
I use it 2 or 3 times a week during “baking season” and I can’t imagine not having it now.
I love, almost, everything about it….
If it could just wash itself it would be perfect.
I think the 5 year warranty speaks for itself.

Terrible Product Availability

Interested in a Pro Line 7qt stand mixer, but as others have commented on America’s Test Kitchen’s site, availability is so horrible that people are actually wondering if this model has been discontinued. Also, the color options are much too limited. If I’m going to pay this much for a mixer, I need better color options. Have yet to find any store offering a basic white, and I hate the frosted pearl white. This mixer should be available in matte black and matte white. I suspect most people end up purchasing the cheaper Artisan model just because of the extreme lack of availability of the Pro Line 7qt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
