Love it, but not 100% impressed.

I bought this last month and have used it multiple times. I love the capacity that it offers, I’m able to double my recipes. It did not come with a scraper beater which is surprising due the cost of the appliance. I had a I constantly turn off and scrap down and scrap bottom to ensure throughly mixed. The first time using after mixing batter and poured into pans I then realized there was a lot of unmixed batter in bottom:( I’m hoping I can find one for this mixer. The plastic shield that came with it does not fit firmly on the bowl. The mixer can be loud and does make a clicking sound that bothers me. I did read this on some reviews before my purchase. Not sure if it is normal or not. I do bake a lot of cakes and this one is better for me than my classic one I purchased years ago which I was pleased with just not big enough. If you are looking for a larger one I would recommend. One suggestion I would make to KitchenAid is to consider a handle on both sides of the bowl.

Dream come true first KitchenAid 7qt proline mixer

Excellent machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought me a Pro-Line 7 for Valentines. I already had a Professional 6, but it is also 20 yrs old, and I have been making a lot of bread lately. My 6 was getting hot when I would knead the dough for a longer period. I have started making sourdough and it takes a lot longer to knead, like 10-15 minutes. The motor was getting really hot and it would bog down. Again, it was 20 yrs old, but still a great machine of making everything else but bread. I have definitely put it to work since I placed this work horse on my counter. I have used my Pro-Line 7 every single day since I got it delivered to my door, seriously. I have found a new love of baking. My bread has turned out better because of the spiral dough attachment. That hook kneads the dough better than the old hook I had. I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for something to do everything under the sun for baking and cooking in the kitchen. I love my KitchenAid machines and I am even passing my 20 yr old Professional 6 to my 18 yr old daughter. The machine she grew up using her whole life. So happy to pass this to my daughter and know it will last her for years to come!!

Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with this version of mixer. I have used the one where the top tilts up and loved it, but wanted something bigger. While this is bigger the feature where the bowl goes up by a rotating lever sucks. I have a hard time getting the bowl full and then putting the wisk or other attachment on the way the machine worls. Overall while it is durable and great not the option. I would go with... :(

Don't buy if you plan to bake bread

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the capacity, love it for cakes/cookies and the like. But the instructions say not to exceed speed 2 when kneading bread dough. That's ridiculous. KitchenAid must know that everyone kneads dough more vigorously than that. I somewhat regret the purchase already and I'm not sure how long it will last as I will most certainly exceed speed 2.

Pro-line stand mixer review
