[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not happy. Very slow, the hook not long enough for kneading, didn’t come with small bowl as avertised.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a KitchenAid mixer, Model Number KSM7586PSR, which I received 19 Jun 2020. It replaced a Kitchen Aid Pro600 6 Quart Stand Mixer, which I had purchased 18 Apr 2020 from a local retailer, and which started leaking oil down the shaft where the beater attaches on about 27 May 2020. Today, 26 Aug 2021 2 months and 15 days after the one year warranty expired, the Pro Line Series 7 began leaking oil down the shaft where the beater attaches to the mixer. I really don't want machine oil, mixed with whatever, in the bread dough.
I received my first KitchenAid mixer in about 1982. I had to have the motor rebuilt a couple of times, about every 10 years. My son is now using that mixer.
I received a KP2671X about 8 years ago, and it lasted about 5 years before my husband had to replace gears. When they failed 3 years later we could not get parts.
I am done with KitchenAid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scared to lose my friend!

Verified Purchase:No
I purchased this mixer from a large, upscale kitchen supply chain in 2012. It has recently begun clicking, and sounding different. I've laid two other Kitchenaids to rest in my lifetime and if this one goes, I'll never purchase another Kitchenaid product again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Two issues
on October 9, 2022

1. This mixer is good for large work. My French bread is over 4 lbs of dough, and this unit breezes through it. But if I try to make a 1 lb sandwich loaf, the dough hook almost misses the dough.
2. For the second time in the 2 years I’ve had the unit, the dough hook is stuck on the shaft. This appears to be a common enough problem that there are YouTube videos offering solutions. The issue is that if any dough gets in around the shaft, the locking stud on the shaft lacks sufficient clearance inside the attachment. I’m going to say that if the internet is offering solutions, the design needs to be addressed.

Poorly Manufactured

Purchased the Kitchenaid 7 quart mixer about 6 years ago. The drive started getting sloppy, and metal shards appeared in the bread being mixed. I ordered parts to repair the drive.
Upon taking it apart, I found it was not properly assembled at the factory. A critical metal washer (part # 8533910) was put in the wrong place. Also, the repair parts that I ordered were defective. Part W10234493 (gear, ring and plate assembly) should have 4 threaded holes in the top of it. The holes were not threaded. The part could not be used. This came in a box from Whirlpool, marked "Factory Certified Parts".
I seriously recommend against buying this product. If you have one of these mixers, I would take it apart and check it against the part diagram. The repairs are not difficult, but you will need a set of retaining ring pliers. Also, some food safe grease, to re-lubricate the parts would be helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this mixer as a Christmas gift and I am sorry to say I never got a chance to use it. I removed it from the box and plugged it in then turned it on and nothing. It was returned and out of stock. I will revisit my rating if and when I receive the new machine.

KitchenAid stand mixers do not hold up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the seven quart pro mixer, and it failed after a couple years. The motor seized up. Been through two replacements and both have been defective. At this point I would have to consider another mixer besides the KitchenAid. Unfortunately they are not the product they used to be.
