Purchased this heavy duty mixer because I love to bake and I bake a lot. The first one had bowl issues and it was replace, the new replacement started with issues at the beginning of this year, the speeds would change without me touching the knobs, I just dealt with it. Now it's making a very LOUD clicking sound. I called today, I think this replacement went off of warranty in May of this year!!!! Highly bummed out.

I was making a double batch of biscotti when my mixer started grinding and died. Out of warranty so I took it to the top rated appliance repair shop locally. He changed out every gear and said he simply couldn't fix it and he's had this issue with others exactly like mine. I have this gorgeous, expensive mixer and it's
basically junk! What's up Kitchen Aid?? I have tons of attachments and I'm really concerned about diving into another one but I feel stuck! HELP!

I brought this mixer due to reviews said it the best and quiet. the one I got it is loud and makes cracking noise even at very low speed.
It also has a scratch/dent on the front. I think this one is a lemon or kitchen aid sent me a refurbished. I would like to return this mixer. I tried to call multiple times , but not able to get through, so I emailed kitchen aid and still waiting for their response

Bigger bowl same stand

I bought this last year and I am so disappointed. I am a pastry chef and thought that with the larger size it would be perfect for my wedding cakes that are smaller. Was I wrong. The stand is the same size as the 6 qt, and the section where the beater attaches goes right into the bowl and everything gets all over the housing. I put my 6qt bowl on the mixer and voila works just like the 6qt stand. So..... if you want to waste your money on a larger mixer buy this. Otherwise just stick to the 6 qt. this was a super waste of money and a very poor design. Liked the kitchen aid way better when it was manufactured by Hobart. They lasted longer, were work horses. These last about 18 months with daily use. My Hobart kitchen aid lasted 25 years of daily use.

I was so thrilled that my husband was able to purchase this mixer for me for Christmas 2015. I have had a much smaller version for years and was more than pleased with how it has held up. I have made 8 double batches at one time of bread in it at Christmas time for years now. I just wanted a bigger and more powerful mixer. I gave away my older one to a niece that is wanting to learn to bake. So imagine my disappointment when I tried to use it and found that the flat beater and the wire whisk hits the side of the bowl. I have repeatedly tried the adjustments recommended in the manual that came with it to no avail.

I bought this with great expectations. I have to dig out a hand mixer to whip egg whites or cream because the whisk attachment does not reach all the way to the bottom of the bowl. Furthermore, it is difficult to attach the bowl to the mixer. My kids say they wish I still used our old smaller kitchen aid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Proline 7 after my smaller, beloved, 40 year old Kitchenaid refused to keep kneading my bread dough. Since purchasing, I have made whole wheat and enriched breads, cookies, cakes. This mixer handles it all easily and, remarkably, so quietly. It’s like having a professional partner in the kitchen. I’ve gotten a simple rolling platform for sliding it out from its corner, as it is quite heavy to move. But I couldn’t be happier...it’s also very lovely.
