Powerful!

I am a stay at home mom of five and a wife, but I find myself wanting to make homemade everything. Now that I have my bigger, stronger mixer, I am more motivated to get in there and make the things that I really want to make. I’m absolutely loving this new mixer. It hasn’t let me down yet.

KitchenAid Mixers are simply the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 30 year old heavy duty tilt KitchenAid mixer decided it had enough and broke down when making Xmas cookies this year. I tore it apart and found a gear had broken. I wasn't able to get a replacement new gear in time to finish Xmas cookies, so I decided to buy this new mixer with a 7 quart capacity.
The main reason I bought this model was it has a DC motor and an extra LARGE capacity bowl. These DC motors have a lot more torque for mixing heavier batches and are way quieter then their AC motor models. DC motors should last longer as well.
KitchenAid mixers seem to last forever no mater which model you might go with, but why not buy the BEST one they got, being you'll be using it for decades....so I did.
This new mixer worked flawlessly for me and I was able to increase my batch size substantially, cut the mixer run time down too. The speed selector switch was a little stiff, but with time it'll loosen up I'm sure. The plastic pour shield that came with unit is a little warped and it wont stay attached to bowl (will address that with them shortly). It's VERY quiet and never got excessively hot with extended run times. Very happy I bought it.
I did finally get a replacement gear for my 30 year old KitchenAid mixer. I replaced it and installed new grease. It runs like a brand new unit again.
In this throwaway society, KitchenAid mixers are solid, durable, long lasting units. You always can get replacement parts (for new and old units) and repair any issues you might have with them (if your so inclined like me). Rarely are any repairs ever needed. They're all well worth the investment.

Great mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My main reason for purchasing this mixer is to be able to double or triple recipes and have a bowl size that could accommodate this and also a machine that has the power to deal with the load. This mixer does not disappoint! Very pleased with it. Love the fact that I can still use the accessories from the artisan mixer I am replacing.
