Strong and quiet DC motor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think KitchenAid is moving to DC motors because they’re stronger, they’re able to offer a five year warranty instead of a one year warranty and they’re so much quieter. I may be wrong, but I was not willing to settle for less. I was originally going to go with the glass bowl one with the same motor but decided against that as I heard people not really liking the fact that they had to reach in with a spatula because the implements couldn’t get close enough to the glass to grab everything. With the metal bowl, implement depth is adjustable (easily-accessible screw) and mine was perfect right out of the box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had used a 5qt Kitchen Aid for about 12 years and loved it but it just wasn’t big enough. The 7qt is perfect for double batches of cookies, cakes, etc.

What's not to like!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had my mixer for two weeks but am very pleased. I've not had any problems. Other reviewers have mentioned a clicking noise and there is that but no problems associated with the noise to this time of writing. I think the tilt head would be easier but I really wanted this motor and capacity. It isn't difficult to remove the attachments at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the bigness of this Machine! It's powerful and the bowl is exactly what I needed. The cord is short and I have to have a power source close, but I love it otherwise

Why Would You Even Need To Review This Mixer?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mom has one that was bought in the late 50s and it's still going. I used it the entire time I was growing up. Now I have my own that I use every week to make bread and on occasions, to make cakes and cookies. It's sturdy and well made. I love it.

Still going strong

I bought this mixer four years ago to replace my 4.5 quart mixer. This mixer has been very consistent, has never needed service, and doesn’t overall pretty good job. The only reason it has lost a star is due to the contouring of the bottom of the bowl with the attachments. No matter what the ingredients never get fully mixed unless I manually do it. I never had that problem with my 4 1/2 quart mixer.
