Disappointing

I've had my Kitchenaid Proline 7 qt mixer for a little over one year. Every time I use it and it starts to struggle a little bit with cookie dough or other substance, it trips the GFCI. My house is only fourteen years old so I don't know if it's the wiring or the mixer, but it's quite a nuisance. A smaller mixer might have been a better choice
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The warranty alone is worth the price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd Pro Lines 7 quart mixer. I bough it 4 years ago and it was recently damaged in an accident. I called Kitchenaid to find out about getting it repaired. Because it was still on warranty, they replaced it! I got a brand new mixer AND 5 year warranty!
I was unable to bake while waiting for replacement (arthritis in hands) and I love baking yeast bread, which requires a lot if kneading. The Kitcheaid Pro Line 7 does all the kneading I can no longer do. My bread’s texture is better than when I was able to knead by hand. I’d give 6 stars if I could!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely the most powerful and quiet of the 4 KitchenAid mixers I have owned. There is no noise issue with this one thankfully. I have only had it for around a week but it works well so far. However, the flat beater was chipped on both top corners and peeling. Obviously packed at the factory in this condition. Had foam protection all around. Now I will need to purchase a new beater.This should not happen at this price. Disappointed.

Powerful, quiet, workhorse

Of all the mixers I currently own (KA 6 qt 575 watt, KA pro and KW cooking chef) this is by far my fav. It's powerful and quiet. I made a double batch of croissant dough with no problem, not even the slightest tug on that motor. I compared it to my two other mixers when making the dough again and they couldn't even come close in performance. The other two struggled and heated up, no the Pro. This KA has the quietest motor of any mixer I own or have tried in demos or ones my friends and children own. My one gripe is with a bowl lift mixer it's difficult to into bowl to scrape or add ingredients (even with pour shield). I only wish there was a Pro that could adjust to making smaller amounts, then life would be euphoric.

I bought this mixer for my son for Christmas in 2013. It is no longer working. He uses it to make bread on a regular basis. Last week the motor started to jam and the attachment no longer moves around.
I have had a kitchen aid for many years with no problems. About 8 years ago I purchased the bigger pro-line model and mine has already been rebuilt once and is in the shop again to be rebuilt for exactly the same problem my son's mixer is displaying. If I can't make bread - no more than 6 cups of flour - what is it good for? Very disappointed in this model!

I have had my mixer for alot of years i have loved it since day one it's worked well for me my Chrismas gifts are cookies i baked 4000 of more each year have cut back a lot love it even got my mom one she loves it too

Love the capacity

I also have the grinder which is great for grinding your own burgers or making sausage.
