Updated from a smaller model to the Pro Line. Again KitchenAid products continue to impress! I use mine primarily for dough mixing and kneading and the larger capacity is great.

Worth every cent. Many many years ago I purchased a KA Artisan stand mixer and it has been great. Sometimes though, I just needed something smaller so a year ago I got a KA mini stand mixer. Both have been great. However making more and more fruit cakes, breads and pizzas. I found I needed something larger and stronger to be able to knead the larger quantity of doughs. Having the strongest motor of all the KA Stand mixers it has been fantastic. It makes such easy work of the doughs and heavy mixtures. Instead of two lots of doughs/mixtures I can now do it in one go and save time, the machine is very sturdy and does not move at all when in use. Having the stronger motor and larger capacity it makes whipping creams to mixing batters, so much faster cutting down time. Its a lot quieter than my Artisan. The large bowl still fits comfortably in the dish washer. I have also done two egg whites in it, which worked beautifully. The lift mechanism works effortlessly no matter what weight is in the bowl. Very quick and easy to attach or remove the bowl and attachments (whisk etc.) I have also found with the stonger motor the attachments in the hub work better as well, especially the meat grinder. If you want to cover all the possibilites now and in the future, I would recommend the KA PL Standmixer as it does large heavy mixing/kneading etc. down to very small quantities.

Fantastic machine for making sour dough bread. Can make 2 1 kg loaves at one time. The kneading process is excellent and has significantly improved my loaves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me a little while to commit to the Pro-Line mixer because of the price. But I am glad I did - great larger bowl size which is super handy, and I actually find that the motor is more quiet than my last stand mixer while being more powerful. I was whipping some egg whites and was amazed at how quickly it was ready to go.
