One of the reasons I love to cook

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This particular mixer is my third KitchenAid stand mixer. My first was an Artisian mixer that was perfect for me and my growing family. Then one of our sons graduated from Culinary School and we purchased our 2nd, the Pro series. Which I used often while assisting him in his restaurant. My turn with the mixer was Saturdays. I grew to love it. And my husband , a wise man bought me one for Christmas. I love it more often than Saturday's now. Our third purchase was the artisian and a 9 hp hand mixer as Wedding gifts for our Grandson and his new wife. And I know for fact they are excited about their gift. Now if they can only get the color they really want? I cannot send a photo because as you may know, kitchen aid anything is nearly impossible to get. Thank goodness I started now to shop for their October wedding.

Massive power, with weight to match!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased five months ago, it was backordered for 6-7 weeks before finally shipping just before the holidays. I am an avid baker and cook and was thrilled to find this upgraded model with monster sized power. This huge mixer has not been put through quite all its paces yet, but what I've seen so far, I am liking. It came with the usual attachments all of which I have used. I tried to order a paddle with the rubber scraper edge and do not find one for this oversized model. Does the original work for this larger bowl size model?
Be aware that the extra weight required to pull off the increased power of this appliance is significant! I have an appliance lift feature built into my island which makes lifting it a non-issue for me, however it might be a serious consideration without that assistance.
Kudos to Kitchen Aid for finally adding a truly powerful machine for serious bakers.

Quiet and powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was bagel dough that finally convinced me to replace my tilt head model with this bowl-lift model. Mixing a batch with the tilt head model heated the housing to the point where I could barely touch it; in fact, it stretched the chrome ring that surrounded the planetary gear to the point where it would not stay put. I purchased another one. So I purchased this 7 quart model and it was a world of difference. Surprisingly, the motor is extremely quiet, as well. So I am a happy camper. (I should have purchased this a decade ago!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for about a month and have truly enjoyed it, but it doesn't do well with smaller recipes. Tends to get lost in the bowl. I do have a hard time getting the bowl locked in.

Smooth and Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a gift. Upgraded from my 17 year old 4.5 qt KA mixer. Love the smooth start/low speed start that doesn't throw flour everywhere. Very quiet. Excited to keep using it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mother always had a Pro Line series mixer. It's 1 of those "buy once for a lifetime" items. Decades later, it's still a champ. My husband bought me my own for Christmas, and I literally kissed it when I took it out of the box. Never use any other stand mixer EVER. I'm bonded with this one for life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I doubted the need for a Kitchen Aid for years. I am a stay at home mother and make breakfast, lunch and dinner for my family of 6 daily. I have always done “just fine” with what I had in the kitchen. I received this Kitchen Aid for Christmas and have used it everyday since. I love that I can walk away from the mixer and do something else while it works. I never knew I needed such a tool. So convenient.
I was worried that it would take up too much counter space, but with a little rearranging, it fits well in a corner area. I actually think it looks quite nice and attractive when I walk into my kitchen.

Hoping to adjust

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seems to be a good machine, but I am having a difficult time adjusting to it.
My old mixer had the head that lifted back which I found easier to get my ingredients into the bowl. Also, though I've tried to adjust the height of the dough hook, it just doesn't seem to be low enough in the bowl to pick up the ingredients without constant scraping of the sides.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
